Stress

:) I'm not exactly very stress..
I just wanna blog something about stress management so that when the need arises, I can remind myself about how I should cope with it.

1. Time management
I plan very super often.
Though I don't follow them 100% all the time (usually only about 40% to 60%),
but following 5% is better than not planning at all!

SO plan plan plan, we're better off spending time to plan and execute with ease than jumping right into the tasks and face all the problems that we could have avoided through the planning stage.

2. Sleep
I'm not very hardworking, but I do have the habit of overworking when I'm so close to solving a problem on the computer, people close to me know that.

It's a bad habit. I have kicked it since my unfortunately spine injury taken a serious toll.

I tell myself to leave my work at work.

When working on personal projects and I'm tempted to continue past 9pm till maybe 12am, I tell myself that I should go to bed, and wake 3 hours earlier to make up for it. And I was almost never successful to wake up earlier. HAHA! Which is a good thing. I get enough sleep and I can perform well the next day :)

This method totally rocks! Works for me :P

3. Exercise
Yes. Helps refresh our mind.
If you're perfectly normal without any health issues, there are no reasons not to exercise, there are only excuses not to exercise.
Excuses like "oh I don't like to sweat" "oh I cannot take the sun" or even "oh I'm too busy"

4. The Day will be over in just 24 hours
Hahaha! Sounds like a funny phrase for this article eh?
I usually feel very stressed when I have a presentation tomorrow.. or I have a meeting tomorrow or what not.
The first way to deal with this kind of situation is to be prepared, which I'm always pretty much prepared.
However, no matter how prepared I am, I still feel stressed out.
I find telling myself that in another 24hs or even less, everything will be over..
It makes me calm down and think of it as not that big a deal that I have to be so stressed over..

Hahaha! what a weird method to put my mind at rest..

5. Stress is healthy
With stress, we can train ourselves to manage our time properly and prioritise tasks at hand. It's only excessive stress that's unhealthy :)

okay, it's just a reminder for myself and any of you guys who find it useful :)
oh, please email me if you have more stress-management tips to share and I can share it on this blog! :D

Box

Just came back from my first 6.30am morning swim.
I broke another barrier by trying out the deep pool this time. :)
Funny pain in my lower left back now.. and my right thigh still has a patch of skin that feels nothing.. :(

Opens the box.

Looks at the 16 other small colorful boxes.
Looks back in time.
Listens to the horrendous singing record a year + 2 weeks ago..
Wonders for how long am I going to keep all these..

Closes the box.

A stray cat charged at me when I opening the door after I showered..
I thought I was seeing things.
It then scampered downstairs and out of the door~ o.O
